With this activity, you are expected to achieve the following learning outcomes:

Recognize the characteristics of a didactics of English course along with the


particularities and guidelines of its pedagogical and educational practice component.
The activity consists of:

Step 1. Read the syllabus of the course didactics of English thoroughly in order to
identify the learning strategy, the content and activities to be developed along with
the distribution of hours of the pedagogical practice component.

Step 2. Read the document Lineamientos para el desarrollo de la Practica Pedagógica


y Educativa that you can find in the annexes for activity guide phase 1.

Step 3. Read the document Acuerdo reglamento de Practicas Pedagógicas y


Educativas that you can find in the annexes for activity guide phase 1.

Step 4. create an eye-catching presentation on the previous documents’ content. It


must follow the following structure:
- Cover
- Purpose
- Definition and importance of the practice
- Definition of a participant observation practice
- Distribution of practice hours within the course
- Rights and duties
- The emails to contact the leaders in charge of the practice
- Main key points of the principles of action

- Main key points of the chapter VII from the document Acuerdo reglamento de
Practicas Pedagógicas y Educativas
- An assessment activity that includes reading comprehension questions from
your presentation
- Conclusions
Bear in mind that you must not copy and paste from the documents but
synthesize the information in order to be concise.

Step 5. Share your presentation in the forum and check your groupmates
presentations and give feedback if necessary. Answer their assessment exercise and
share your results as evidence as well.

Step 6. Attend the first web conference of the course and take some evidence of
your participation or watch the recording and write a well-informed summary of it.

Step 7. Inform your tutor if you have already registered to the ARL, if not; please
register on the link that will be provided. You cannot start the practice if you do not
have an ARL provided by the University. The ARL from your work place is not
accepted.

Step 8. Join to your tutor TEAMS group in order to have first-hand information and
communication with your groupmates and tutor.

Step 9: Document delivery


Prepare a PDF document that includes the following components:
- Cover page (APA style)
- Link to your presentation: make sure it works and it includes the requested
items stated in step 4.
- Forum participation: take 2 screenshots of your participation, one of your
presentation posted in the forum and another one from your results of an
assessment activity.
- Web Conference Participation: Provide evidence of your participation in the web
- conference, such as a screenshot of the conference or a summary if you are
- unable to attend.
- ARL Registration Evidence: Include a screenshot of your ARL registration or ARL
if you already have it.
- References: List the references used in your document, following APA style

2. General Guidelines for the Development of Evidences to Submit

For Individual evidences, consider the following:

• Create an eye-catching presentation that summarize the key points of the


practice guidelines and clearly state the numbers of practice hours, and their
distribution in the different phases of the pedagogical practice.
• Send evidence of your participation in the forum.
• Send evidence of your participation in the web conference.
• Complete the ARL registration.
• Before submitting the requested product, you should check that it meets all
the requirements mentioned in this activity guide.

Please keep in mind that all individual or collaborative written products must comply
with the spelling rules and presentation conditions defined in this activity guide.
Regarding the use of references, consider that the product of this activity must
comply with APA style.
In any case, make sure you comply with the rules and avoid academic plagiarism.
