investigative practicum

With this activity, you are expected to achieve the following learning
outcomes:

Learning Outcome 1: analyze previous research processes as a basis to strengthen


current English practicum in online environments.

The activity consists of:

1. Answer in English the following questions as a recognition exercise of the


Agreement 078 of 2022 that establishes the regulations of pedagogical and
educational practices at UNAD School of Education. Check the agreement in the

a) How many chapters and articles does Agreement 078 of 2022 consist of?

b) Outline Chapter IV about the principles of action of the trainee teachers in


the pedagogical and educational practices. Include a brief explanation of
each principle.

2. After recognizing Agreement 078, the very first thing you will need to do in this
course is to settle the schedule of the 6-hour-online alive encounters you will
be conducting. You will be in charge of two groups of students (A and B)
working 3 hours with each group where each session will be 1,5 hours long.
That means you will work 4 sessions per week: 2 sessions with group A and 2
sessions with group B, for a total of 6 hours per week of live classes, plus 2

hours for preparing lessons per week. This will be along 7 weeks to complete
56 hours of teaching practice in online environments. Additionally, you will
devote 8 hours to perform a research process for a total of 64 hours for this
investigative practicum in online environments. To settle your schedule, please
complete the following form by the 5th day after starting the term as your
availability must be posted in the language courses from the very beginning so
that students can subscribe accordingly. Fill in this form only once: 518020 -
Personal Information and Schedule for Online Classes. Take a
screenshot of the email you will get after responding to the above
form. On the other hand, you will be included in the course Teams group.
These steps are mandatory, and if you fail any of them, your practicum might
be awkwardly affected.

3. Introduce yourself in the forum, share the schedule you set for your online
encounters in the Google form above in Activity 2, and complete the following
outline with your research experience in previous courses.

4. Go over the contents of Unit 1 in the Learning environment and other sources
of information and brainstorm in the forum some research ideas to carry out in
your English practicum in online environments that, if possible, can
complement your previous research process. You can research, for example,
about teaching vocabulary in online settings, enhancing speaking and listening
skills, the impact of synchronic interaction in meaningful learning, etc. Reflect
upon what the best option of your research ideas would be to be carried out in
this online practicum, justify it, and point out if it would be related to your
previous research experience or not.

5. In the Evaluation environment post individually a PDF file with your self-
introduction, the answer to the recognition of Agreement 078 of 2022, the
