Learning Outcome 5: systematize the results of implemented research process

involving the online English practicum through a digital portfolio.

The activity consists of:

One of the purposes of a teaching portfolio is to show the teacher at their best. Thus,
it contains evidence to document, summarize, and highlight their growth,
experiences, and strengths as a teacher.
For the final stage of this course, you will design a digital portfolio to show what a
research teacher you have become and a way to systematize the research process
you applied during your practicum in online environments. Go over the contents of
Unit 3 in the Learning environment for you to deeply understand the core purpose of
this meaningful tool for teachers.
As a portfolio is an ongoing process, you are going to use part of your outputs along
the course to build it. Be sure your research portfolio is appealing, creative,
aesthetics, and neat.
Design your research portfolio in a digital tool that enables presentations with
animations and audio. The following tools are suggested, but you can use another of
your preference:
• Genially: https://app.genial.ly/
• Canva: https://www.canva.com/es_mx/plantillas/

1
• Emaze: https://www.emaze.com/es/
Be sure that your research portfolio contains at least the following elements and
sections. Post meaningful pictures, graphs, charts, or animations, and add your voice
in audio on the slides:
1. A meaningful title
2. A brief narrative to contextualize the reader about your research English
practicum in online environments. Here you can mention the dynamics of the
practicum in terms of its main features and purpose, groups in charge, number of
classes, tools used for interaction, etc.
3. A detailed description of the whole research process you performed in this
practicum in online environments, starting from your research idea up to the
results, conclusions, and findings you brought about and registered in your field
journal formats and even beyond. Use as many slides as necessary.
4. The sample of an illustrative class for your research process. Identify it in terms
of date, number of students participating, topic, and objective. Include the
corresponding lesson plan and video of the class, either with public links to a
cloud or embedded with an HTML code. Add a brief reflection on why that class
was meaningful for your research process.
5. Reflection. In at least two paragraphs, reflect on how this research practicum in
online environments has made an impact on your culture of inquiry towards your
teaching philosophy and your future or current teaching profession.
Send to the Evaluation environment a PDF with the public link to your digital
