With this activity, you are expected to achieve the following learning
outcomes:

At the end of the activity, the student will be able to formulate a preliminary research
project based on the selection of specific issues and phenomena in the English
language learning processes in correspondence with the pedagogical practice.

The activity consists of:

1. Read the contents of unit 3.

2. Considering the experience acquired in the development of the practice, the


previous research about methodologies and techniques for the learning English
process, the student’s needs, and the characteristics of the context. Go to the
content: Bell, J., & Waters, S. (2014). Doing Your Research Project: A Guide for
First-Time Researchers (Vol. 6th ed). Maidenhead: McGraw-Hill Education-
Chapter 2. Planning a project and completing the following information in a PDF
document organized in APA style.

o Title (include the specific population and the concrete topic)


o Objectives (Principal and specific)
o Researchable question.
o Type of research (qualitative or quantitative) and the methodology.
o Literature review (minimum five authors- 600 words).
o Divide this chapter with the principal categories and concepts of your
proposal; cite the information in APA style 7th version.

o Data collection and analysis techniques (described the techniques and
tools you will use for your analysis)
o Possible solutions: describe the possible solutions you can suggest
according to the literature review and the practice experience for the
identified problems.
o Final reflection of the practice. Include a final reflection of 300 words
minimum of the positive aspects of your practice process and the aspects
you consider could have been better, compare the theories with your own
experiences and justify your arguments with examples and evidence.

and your previous research.
• Think about the specific needs of the students and the characteristics of the
context.
• Be creative when including innovative possible solutions to the selected
problem.
• Share with your partners’ ideas and reflections, learn together.
• Carefully read the contents of the unit 3.
Please keep in mind that all individual or collaborative written products must comply
with the spelling rules and presentation conditions defined in this activity guide.
Regarding the use of references, consider that the product of this activity must
comply with APA style.
In any case, make sure you comply with the rules and avoid academic plagiarism.

campus.
