With this activity, you are expected to achieve the following learning
outcomes:

To reflect on the role of methodologies and strategies for foreign language teaching,
through the recognition of their own educational experiences.

The activity consists of:

Step 1: Reflective questions


Answer the following questions:
1. What is the difference between method and approach?
2. Have you had bad experiences in your English learning process?
3. Do you consider that a teacher can use more than one English teaching
method? Why?
4. What do you know about English teaching methodologies? What’s your favorite
one?
5. What do you think should be the role of the teacher inside the classroom?
6. Why do materials used in the English classes play an important role in the
teaching process?
7. How do motivation is related to the English learning methodology applied by
the teacher in the classroom?
8. What are your expectations about this course?

Step 2: Forum Participation
Post the answer to the above questions in the forum opened for this Phase. Also,
share your personal information, such as telephone number, personal email and
home city.

Step 3: Feedback
Give meaningful feedback to at least two of your classmates in the forum. Read their
answers and make comments on the structure and content. Consider the corrections
made in the forum to improve your performance. You should give and receive
feedback at least 3 days prior to the ending of this activity. Also, take screenshots of
your feedbacks and add them to the final document.

Step 4: ARL Certification:


This certification is essential for the development of your observation practices.
Hence, in order to know how to get this certification, it is mandatory to attend the
first web conference of the course. This certification must be scanned and delivered
in PDF format.

Step 5: E- Portfolio:

Your tutor will send you the link to access to your E-portfolio. You need to check
your institutional email as well as your inbox. In this place, you will upload the
different formats that each activity guide will ask for, so this is going to be your
official folder for the term.

web conference of the course in the link: Synchronous meetings by webconference

In the Learning Environment, you must: Participate in the collaborative forum Phase

2. General Guidelines for the Development of Evidences to Submit

For Individual evidences, consider the following

• Students must deliver two PDF documents, the first one with the answers and
screenshots and the ARL Certification scanned in PDF format.

• Before submitting the requested product, students should check that it meets all
the requirements mentioned in this activity guide.

Please keep in mind that all individual or collaborative written products must comply
with the spelling rules and presentation conditions defined in this activity guide.
Regarding the use of references, consider that the product of this activity must
comply with APA style.
In any case, make sure you comply with the rules and avoid academic plagiarism.
You can review your written products using the Turnitin tool found in the virtual
campus.

Under the Academic Code of Conduct, the actions that infringe the academic order,
