1. Activity Description

With this activity, you are expected to achieve the following learning
outcomes:

To reflect about their learning and teaching experience through the creation of a
video introduction.

The activity consists of:

Task 1: Personal Introduction

Each student writes a short personal introduction in the forum. In this presentation,
you must include your name, age, location, contact number, semester, email address
and three expectations for the course. All the information needs to be written in
English using complete sentences (directly in the forum, no files attached).

Task 2: Design an announcement in canva or other designing tool containing the


next information and post it in the forum (post a file in jpg or png), be creative.

Each student must include the following items through the poster:

- Importance of this course content for your professional development as an


English teacher.
- According to the course contents, show the five topics you consider more
interesting.
- An invitation for other students to study this course showing the reasons
because it will result important in your professional program.

Task 3: Video

After sending your personal introduction and poster in the forum, you are going to
create a short video with that information using your webcam or cellphone. If you
wish, you can have support of visual material, but it is mandatory that your face
appears on the video, it must be 3 to 5 minutes long. The quality of sound and image
are to be done the best possible.

After creating the video, you must upload it to an online video repository like
YouTube, Tutv, Google Videos, etc. Once your video is uploaded, post the “Public”
link in the forum (for interaction with peers).

Group interaction
After posting your own video in the forum, comment at least two classmates’ videos.

You need to post your video at least five days before the deadline of this activity, or
no interaction will take place.

Contributions to the forum (personal introduction and poster) and videos posted
three days before the deadline will not be taken into consideration for the grade of
this activity.

- Check the Course News for important information.
- Verify the date of the First Web Conference so that you can plan your
participation accordingly.
- Verify your tutors’ synchronous attention by Teams.
In the Learning Environment, you must:

- Check the Course Contents and Bibliographic References for Unit 1: Experiences.
- Go to the discussion forum for the task and actively participate with your
collaborative group.
- Give feedback to your e-mates if necessary.

In the Evaluation Environment, you must:
