With this activity, you are expected to achieve the following learning
outcomes:

To identify the students' understanding of the topics proposed in the course


considering the development of communicative skills in the context of the CEFR
independent user - level B2.
The activity consists of:

Step 1:
Each student has to watch the following video:

Step 2:
Once you have watched the video you need to create a list of at least 5 relevant
aspects about his speech.

Step 3:
Besides, you have to make a list of at least five suggestions where you encourage a
person to learn a new language. (Use modal verbs and expressions to make a
suggestion)

At the end, you have to record a video of 2-minute length where you invite a person
to learn a new language. (You can not read during the video)

For the development of the activity consider that:

In the Initial Information Environment, you must:

- Check the Course Agenda to organize your time.


- Check the Course News for important information.
- Verify the date of the First Web Conference so that you can plan your
participation accordingly.
- Verify your tutors’ synchronous attention by Skype.

In the Learning Environment, you must:

- Check the Course Contents and Bibliographic References for Unit 1: Experiences.
- Go to the discussion forum for the task and actively participate with your
collaborative group.
- Give feedback to your e-mates if necessary.

In the Evaluation Environment, you must:

Upload a PDF file with the task’s individual and group evidences. Identify your

• Make a list of the five relevant aspects about the video.

2. General Guidelines for the Development of Evidences to Submit

For Individual evidences, consider the following:

• Watch the suggested video.


• Make a list of the five relevant aspects about the video.
• Make a list of at least five suggestions where you encourage a person to learn
a new language.
• Record a video of 2-minute length where you invite a person to learn a new
language.

Prepare and send to the evaluation environment a document that includes the
following information:
a. Cover page (names and last names of participants, course info, tutor name,
date).
b. Evidence of your participation in the forum, giving feedback and making
comments to your classmates (Please do not use Screenshots).

c. List of the five relevant aspects about the video (Please do not use
Screenshots).

d. List of at least five suggestions where you encourage a person to learn a


new language. (Please be sure it is not a private content).

e. References (APA style).

Please keep in mind that all individual or collaborative written products must comply
with the spelling rules and presentation conditions defined in this activity guide.
Regarding the use of references, consider that the product of this activity must
comply with APA style.
In any case, make sure you comply with the rules and avoid academic plagiarism.
