1. Activity Description

With this activity, you are expected to achieve the following learning
outcomes:

The student will be able to design his/her own Google Site where she/he explains
how technology impacts positively and negatively in his/her community life.

The activity consists of:

The task consists of:

Step 1: Create the Google Site

- Watch the tutorial to know how to design a Google site


- Design a Google Website (it is necessary to have a Google account).

Step 2: Google Site content

The Google site must include the following aspects:

- An objective according to the topic.


- Through a video answer the following questions:
1. How has technology changed human life in your community?
2. What positive and negative aspects do you consider your community has had
in the use of technology nowadays? (Student must appear on the video giving
his/her point of view during 2- or 3-minutes video recording)

- Written instructions (10 aspects) giving recommendations, advice, requests,
obligations, and suggestions for negative aspects using modal verbs seen in the
Unit 3 (E-BOOK - Module 12).
- Taking photos where the student shows positive and negative aspects of
technology impacts in his/her community life.

Note: You can base your Google site on these suggested examples:

- Communication
- Environment
- People lifestyle

Stage 3: Answer the Self-Assessment survey

- Check your performance during the term by answering a survey.

Taking into account that the language learning process includes the development of
all communication skills according to the course level, you are invited to make a self-
critical reflection of your performance through the survey that you can find in the

In the Initial Information Environment, you must:

- Check the agenda out to verify the opening and closing dates of the task.
- Read carefully the activity guide.
- Watch the recording of the course web conferences.

In the Learning Environment, you must:

- Check out and study the Online Content (Level B2 from module 9 to module
12).
- Enter the forum and participate in the development of individual and
collaborative tasks contributing ideas based on suggested questions on step 2
or instructions related to modal verbs.

In the Evaluation Environment, you must:

- Upload one PDF format document with the link of the Google Site.

2. General Guidelines for the Development of Evidences to Submit

For Individual evidences, consider the following:


● Every student must participate with academic contributions in the activity
development.
● Before delivering the suggested product, all the requirements indicated in
this activity guide must be checked.
Please keep in mind that all individual or collaborative written products must comply
with the spelling rules and presentation conditions defined in this activity guide.
Regarding the use of references, consider that the product of this activity must
comply with APA. style.
In any case, make sure you comply with the rules and avoid academic plagiarism.
You can review your written products using the Turnitin tool found in the virtual
campus.

Under the Academic Code of Conduct, the actions that infringe the academic order,
