Chesterton 740(E):
Optimum Corrosion Protection for Metal parts in Storage and during Assembly

A global manufacturer of specialty products needed an effective corrosion protection method for

high value bolts and nuts while in storage. Chesterton’s coating, 740(E) Heavy Duty Rust Guard proved

to be the ideal system; apart from a long-term protection against corrosion, there is no need for removal before

assembly – the product simply remains on the threads.

This long-term, corrosion-preventative coating provides heavy-duty
metal protection for all areas constantly exposed to humidity and
corrosive fumes – without critical surface preparation.
Product Characteristics:
■ Provides up to two years corrosion protection under
sheltered outdoor conditions
■ Does not peel or flake
■ Excellent resistance to acid, alkali, and salt air fumes
■ Self-healing, if scratched

Applications:
■ Metal tools ■ Pumps
■ Parts in process/storage ■ Indoor structural steel
Available Container Sizes:
■ Aerosol, 5 l, 20 l, 208 l
Note: Product can be easily removed with
Chesterton’s 276(E) Cleaner or 274(E) Industrial Degreaser
