Part 1 - Design, Setup, configure, and test a Local area

network (LAN)  
  
You are have been asked to design a small office network for network
class.  We have identified the need for 6 wired desktop computers..   
  
1. Create a design diagram using appropriate software for your network
which identifies all the required components and connections as well as
any software required (including OS). 10 marks  

  
2. Once your design is complete, identify a suitable IPV4 addressing
scheme for the devices and complete the table below. 10 marks

3. Write a brief justification for your design choices surrounding hardware,
software and configuration. 5 marks  
   
4. Using your design and IP schema, create a test network, using either
the appropriate equipment or virtual software (i.e. Packet Tracer, GNS3
etc), ensuring all devices are connected and configured correctly. 15
marks  
  
  
5. Test your network and document the results, showing connectivity for
all devices. 10 mark

Submission: A professional document containing documented evidence for all the

above activities.
