Lesson: Jack Discovers a New Land
Jack Discovers a New Land  When the beanstalk ended Jack found
himself in front of a great castle. He saw
a huge lady standing at the door.
 Jack asked her to give some breakfast as
he had nothing to eat since yesterday. The
giant’s wife was very kind, she asks Jack to
come in quick because if the giant finds him,
he will eat Jack. She gives him a cup of milk
and some sandwiches.
 Suddenly there is a knock at the front door.
The giant’s wife quickly lifts Jack up and
puts him into an empty kettle, when her
husband roars up
 The giant says he smells the blood of a
young boy and wants to eat him for his
breakfast, but his wife says that the smell is
of ox’s hide. The giant sits down and eats a
great part of the ox.
 Then he asks his wife to get the bags of
gold coins, when he finishes counting it,
then he asks his wife to fetch the little hen
which laid 20 golden eggs.
 Jack watched in wonder at all that was
happening. Then the giant calls his wife to
get the golden lyre. When she starts singing
a beautiful song the giant soon fell fast
asleep.
 Jack quickly crept out of the kettle and
gathers the money bag, the little hen and
puts them in a large bag.
 Suddenly the giant wakes up and tries to
catch Jack but he was already halfway
down the beanstalk. When Jack sees him
coming, he calls his mother to get axe and
chops the beanstalk. The giant crashes
down terribly and that was the end of him.
 With the bags of gold and little hen Jack and
his mother helps the entire village and they
lived happily ever after.
