Simbarashe Matimba is a young man aged 19. He was born at Marondera General Hospital. He is the
third born in a family of 3 girls and 3 boys. Our family originates from Nyanga (nyatate) under chief
Saunyama. Currently living in Marondera. He lives in Marondera because it is the most convenient
location of my parent’s workplace. He personally love Marondera because that is where he had the
highest social interaction considering, growing up in the location from his primary education to my
secondary education. He has also learnt that Marondera provides the best opportunities to his lifestyle.
His stage name MADDY-JUNGLE a.k.a JUNGLE MYT. He is a solo going artist specialising in the Zim-
Dancehall genre of music .He chose the genre because he love to be part of the talented youths stand
for the undiluted taste of our culture, thereby raising our national flag high. Looking at himself and
music, he feel somehow related to music. He started to love music when he was young, getting
absorbed with music. Intensely at that tender age. The way it stein him, he would say music is in born.
He appreciate music the way no-one else does in his family. He is so passionate of music much that
nothing can really separate hi with the particular interest. The same interest keeps him going. He
believes that the best career is the one which brings pleasure and does not rob him out of his joy. He is
also interested in becoming a geologist. He have an indulgence to learn more about the earth and the
nature of it.

WHAT INFLUENCES YOUR MUSIC?

My music is based on day to day living. In this life a lot of things take place and they
Deserve to be expressed in some unique way. Some of my tracks life in hood (usaipembedza
nhamo ft Sparooh) love scandals (wakanditadisa babie) overboard. General life influence my music.

WHAT MADE YOU STARTPLAYING MUSIC?

Music has been my destiny. I always felt excited to be part of the music global. I know music
Is best and I feel it what I could do best.

WHEN DO YOU STARTPLAYING MUSIC.

I started to play music in 2015 back then I was in form 1.I had been nominated to perform at variety show,
but though I used to do a bit of music which qualified me for the performance nomination. The day came and
was really exciting experience.

WHEN DID YOU STARTPLAYING MUSIC PROFESSIONAL.

My first professional single track was released in January 2015. The name of this track was
HACKSAW. Hacksaw is a dance track. In more detail it was actually introducing new dance.

WHEN DID YOU KNOW YOU WANTMUSIC TO BE YOUR CAREER?

The love for music develop in me just like breast-suckling develops in a new born. Music being my career is
fate based on my interest in music. I'm actively involved with music and I feel it's taking me through stages
sometime without noticing. For certainty is sake, I would say being a professional music player made me
learn how far I can go further with music.

WHEN DID KNOW ITWASACTUALLYGOING TO BEYOURCAREER.

Specifically by reaction I know music was actually my career when I released the song
Pawatadza kundiuraya. It's was comparatively the best on its own, welcome in numerable likes and
speculation from the Jungle funs everywhere. The viewers of the song were equitable with the likes
from followers. It increased the fan base & was a really motivating experience.

HOW DID YOU GET STARTED IN THE MUSIC INDUSTRY?

Music is school. I got started as a student. I had visited my DJ (Extreme) to challenge and also appreciate
other musician’s songs. It made me learn more from other sand created the platform to learn, develop
and improve. I have a lot thank my DJ for, for he would even help me meet with potential collaboration
candidates gauging on capability and is own classification.
