Kindergarten Reading: Silly Ants

After school, the ant and the beetle went back

home. It was a very far journey. They made it
back to the ant’s home. It looked like two
apples that were together!
The ant said goodbye to the beetle but soon
realized he forgot his book! The beetle said,
“don’t worry, I have it in my bag”. The ant took
out the book and thanked the beetle. He read
his story before the beetle set off home.

It was time to redecorate the ant home! It was

getting old and mother ant was coming to visit!
The three ants got some flowers from a nearby
patch and went on the house. They decided
it’d be nice to have flowers coming out from
the top. “Oh no!” One of the ants didn’t follow
the others. He dug a hole thinking they’d plant
the flowers outside the home. Mother ant will
not be happy!

It was a nice sunny day and silly ant didn’t know

what to do! He went outside to find some
friends. He walked far but couldn’t find anyone,
until he heard faint noises. “It sounds like…
music?” he said. He rushed towards the sound
and he came across a trio of bees and a
ladybug! “Can I join you guys?” the ant asked.
“Well yes you can! Grab a hat and play that
trumpet!” blurted the ladybug.

The ants went out one day for a walk. They

came across a log that came from a tree.
“What can we do with it?” asked one of the
ants. “You can put flowers on it to make it look
more beautiful!” said the butterfly. The ants
thought it was a great idea! They all got a
flower and started decorating. But they thought
they could draw on the log with their flowers!
