The premise ofthe book is that in our ‘always on’ modern Society, there is a curse of ‘information overload!’ ~ we are Constantly so beset by bits of so-called information that we ed up getting abit lost. (| say so-called because, as Gorman Points out, some of the information is in fact pure nor nsense.) Gorman suggests that we need to be cautious and find ways to sift out what's valuable and what isnt The book has pluses and minuses, On the minus side, the book uses quit alot of the same material that'd already come across in the TV show. | guess 'd been expecting something 100% new and fresh, so somehow | felt bit misled (no that the title or the blurb really had led me to believe it was all new). The book is nothing more than a collection of pretty short chapters, forty in all, each of which takes some ‘subject that has got under Gorman's skin, Mostly they're funny, and the Short chapters mean you can dip in and out at your leisure, But itfetta bit. wel, unsatisfying Read the review again.
