Hi

My name is, I am fourth year college student at STI Ortigas Cainta taking Bachelor of Science and
Hospitality Management. I chose HRM because the hospitality management track teaches its students
the essential principles on how to manage hotels, restaurants, and similar institutional companies. I
especially look forward to working at the front desk because STI builds our confidence and helps
develop our skills in our program. As part of our course, we were able to have a job opportunity in this
sector, such as working as a casino manager, resort manager, restaurant manager, or event organizer,
among others. Also, we learned how the tourism and hospitality side interact with each other in terms
of culinary implications. I love to serve, and I love to learn. I believe this is where my passion lies, and a
lot of the HM student’s passions lies too.

Hi everyone!

My name is, I’m 21yrs old and I am fourth year student at STI Ortigas Cainta taking Bachelor of Science
and Hospitality Management. The hospitality sector offers good prospects for early responsibility, so if
you show a willingness and ability to learn, you can gain experience of supervising and training new staff
early on in your career. It's essential you get relevant industry experience if you want to work in the
hospitality sector. Many hospitality degree courses offer an industrial placement for a year, enabling you
to put your academic learning into practice. This experience provides employers with evidence of your
skills and motivation, and helps you develop contacts within the sector. You also get a feel for which
area of the sector you're particularly interested in.
