Processes for Ensuring Proper Food Sanitation within McDonald's, Bonifacio


Ave., Cainta, Rizal, Philippines (S.Y. 2021)

Purpose of the Study


Ever since the food industry is one of the industries in the economy that is strict
when it comes to its operations and processes. Hence, the occurrence of the
COVID-19 pandemic has affected all of the sectors of the economy globally and one
of these sectors is the food industry. Therefore, this study attempts to know and
assess the processes for ensuring proper food sanitation. To be specific, at
McDonald's, Bonifacio Ave., Cainta, Rizal, Philippines during this pandemic time.
The respondents of this study will be the McDonald's employees since they are the
one who knows about these processes. The researchers will conduct quantitative
research to achieve the objectives of this study. Additionally, this paper will be done
online since the movement of people is limited because of the pandemic. 

Moreover, the following are the objectives of this study:


a. To know the processes for ensuring proper food sanitation at
McDonald's.
b. To determine facts and new data about food safety and sanitation
procedures.
c. To assess the effectiveness of the processes for ensuring proper food
sanitation.
d. To inform individuals, about the importance of food safety and
sanitation procedures in the food industry.
e. To help future and other researchers who will conduct research related
to the topics presented in this paper.
f. To identify the limitations of this paper and to create recommendations
about the processes for ensuring proper food sanitation.

Statement of the Problem


This study aims to assess food safety and sanitation procedures. This will further
examine the processes for ensuring proper food sanitation within McDonald's,
Bonifacio Ave., Cainta, Rizal, Philippines during this year. Moreover, the researchers
specifically seek to answer the following questions:
1. What are the demographic profile of respondents who performed food safety
and sanitation procedures in terms of:
a. Age
b. Sex
c. Number of Years Working at McDonald's

2. What are the procedures done by the McDonald's employees in terms of:
a. Food Preservation
b. Food Storage
c. Food Longevity

3. What are the difficulties faced by the employees in terms of:


a. Food Preservation
b. Food Storage
c. Food Longevity

4. Using a rating scale, what is the level of effectiveness of processes in


ensuring proper food sanitation at McDonald's?
