Line Chart

The given line chart provide the comparison of males and females graduates from college in

Canada, between 1992 and 2007.

As an overall trend, the number of graduates, both female and male reported increased from

1992 to 1995. But, decreased between last 1995 and 1998. By 2006, there is a gradual increase

for both of female and male graduates number.

The shown line graph compares the number of the inhabitant aged more than 65 from 1940 to

2040 in three developed countries.

It is interesting to note that erderly population in Japan has the lowest percentage by 1940. But

in 2040, Japan has the highest percentage. While for the United State and Sweden they had start

with quite high precentace, however the percentage of the two countries are both fluctuated.

The presented line chart represents waste producing amounts by three different companies over

15 years period and measured in tonnes.

As can be seen in the line graph that the A company has dramatic fall in their waste producing.

While, Company B waste producing amount have a rapid decline from 2005 to 2015 and the

waste production of company C have shown a significant increase.

The first supplied line graph describes the amount of parents spending on children sport from

2008 and 2014 in Britain while the second graph provides the proportion of British adolescent

participation in three different sports over the same period.

It is obvious that the average monthly expense on children’s sports escalate d over a period of 6

years, and also the number of children participating in football increased by 2010. Swimming

grew gradually from 2008 to 2014, while there was slight rise in 2010 for the athletics.
The given line graph provides the proportion of Freedonia’s male and female employees in 6

sectors by 1975.

It is explicity observed that the number of Men employees was always more than the female

employees in all kind of the sectors. We also can see there were two wide gaps in manufacturing

and finance/banking.

The presented line graph provides the trend of London Underground station passengers in

different times.

It can be clearly observed that the passenger number reach its peak at 08:00 with 400 passengers,

but, decrease dramatically to under 100 people at 16:00. There are three period of time which

have same passenger number, 300 passengers.

The presented line chart compares the enquiries received number in 2011 over a six-month

period by the tourist information office.

It is apparently seen that from January to June, enquiries which made by a person increase

gradually. There was a significant decrease between March and May for the number of enquiries

made by letter/email, while, for the telephone enquiries number there was a fluctuation over the

six-month period.
