one for ordinary wear, one for special

To take n typical case, a young lady
'vas brought t.o me by hor mother at
the beginning of the year. The girl,
"~ho 'vas lG years old, was tall and
already pos~e~sed of' a "rell-developed
figure. She had a 'vaist that n1easured

sirous that 1t be reduced to sixteen
inches.
"I provided three pairs of corsets of
graduated sizes, and the young miss
\Yore sixteen-inch corsets, laced close,
the '\Yeek before last at the Bucking-
ham Palace garden party. She and her
n1other 'vere so delighted "\Yith the
effect that the girl came to me a day
or t \Yo later to be 1neasured for a })alr
of fifteens for dress occasions."
This satne informant said the small-
est 'valst in London 'vas probably pos-

The corsetiere ·f urther. stated that
