Surprised? Curious? Well you should be. Last year we revealed how St. Clement Academy got its name. Now,
it’s time to reveal how Epistle, the official school publication of St. Clement Acdemy, got its name and how the
Epistle is very much like St. Clement Academy. Are you ready? Let’s start the history.

Epistle for a common student and for people who read it is something typical. Epistle may be a never heard
word for some people but for people who read the Bible know what Epistle is. Epistle is a letter written by one
of Christ’s Apostles. The name of the official newspaper of the school is something very noteworthy in the
Bible. If we will search the meaning of Epistle in the dictionary it will give “a letter” as its meaning. The word
Epistle is very apposite for the school’s newspaper because the aim of the staff and the editorial board is to
reach the students, parents, and other people in a personalized way like letter. We are here not only to bring
news to everyone but also to listen to everyone’s opinion and to somehow share the real essence of life and how
we can deal with it.. We are very much open to accept suggestions. We, the members of the editorial board, are
doing our best to converse to every reader with an objective to suggest matters about life and Christianity.

Epistle started publishing news way back when I was in first year high school (SY 2007-2008) and when the
school has started operating on their second campus with the high school department I have witnessed how
Epistle grows as well as the school. The school started operating with just a one small campus and just like our
campus paper; Epistle started from just a one long bond paper with the printed news on it back to back. That
paper and campus started that way. As the school expands its operations, the school’s newspaper also starts to
expand. Epistle was formally launched under the supervision of Ms. Annabelle Sacdalan, last school year 2009-
2010. And the creative logo of Epistle was created by Jerameel delos Reyes. He used a number of symbolisms
which reflects the Epistle’s essence of existence. That was the year when Epistle started to develop its sections
and produced a complete news for all of us. It also signifies a new beginning to every student’s life. It opens
door for those who are bold enough to explore their journalistic point of view. This prospect welcomes the
growing members of the SCA family. The Epistle has been a witness of everything here in SCA for the past few
years. The triumph of the school is reflected in the school’s newspaper. A successful school must have a good
news publication. That is why sometimes campus paper is connoted as the life of the school aside from its
students

Before I end this, I would just like to acknowledge every person behind Epistle. Creating this is not easy. Before
we arrived with this kind of result hardships were mixed with blood and sweat to give the reader the best of
everything we can. The school is more than this; more hardships were mixed to be able to produce high quality
education for every student. I hope this will make a favorable change. To our successors make Epistle great just
like St. Clement Academy!
