A. The extended family
1. Definition :
_Extended families are families where
three or more generations are living in the
same house. Usually, it means that the
grandparents are living with their children
and grandchildren. Extended families are
very common in countries where there is no
social security net.
2. Aventage :
- Have more support from other family
members, be happier, children develop
strong relationships with adults other than
parents, the elderly become more active.
- Can share work, finance, love, affection
with each other.
- Children are cared for by the elderly in the
family instead of handing them over to
maids.
- A family of many generations brings a safe
and warm atmosphere for children.
- Children who grow up in a traditional family
will be taught how to communicate openly
and honestly with everyone. Shared
opinions help alleviate anxiety and
confusion in children.
- Children will feel more responsible for older
people, siblings in the family and aspire to
affirm their role.
- Traditional family will teach you about
social ethics from an early age. Large
families nurture you, teach you good moral
and personality behaviors, help you adjust
yourself to support other family members.
- Families for generations create social
security and are a harmonious living
environment when the elderly, young
people, the unemployed and widows live
together. The large family also brings
confidence both physically and mentally to
each member before each challenge.
3. Disadventage
-  A lot of conflicts between different
generations, lack of privacy, independence
and space.
B. The nuclear family
1. Difinition :
- The nuclear family is a family group
consisting of two parents and their children.
2. Aventage :
-  A lot of conflicts between different
generations, lack of privacy, independence
and space
- The family planning program became a
success in the nuclear family. Members of
the nuclear family must plan and limit their
families because they bear all
responsibilities and expenses for raising
their children. The children also benefit in
the long run when they inherit property
directly from their parents.
- In nuclear families there is no
misunderstanding and they enjoy a
harmonious atmosphere by living together.
- In the nuclear family there is no change of
responsibility as in the common family.
Parents are forced to take responsibility for
their children. The owner of the family must
work hard to take care of the family.
- Financial problems do not arise in the
nuclear family. Money can be saved for the
future

3. Disadvantage :
- In the nuclear family both husband and wife
take on out-of-family jobs, after which
children are abandoned and cared for by
servants. They feel lonely and emotionally
insecure. They develop more anxiety.
- Less social control of older people. So the
kids develop all sorts of bad qualities like
theft.
- Feeling lonely is one of the key drawbacks
in the nuclear family.
- In the nuclear family, the elderly must be in
nursing homes and no one in the family
cares.
