BACKWOODS [background]
You were raised in an outdoor environment. When other kids
were playing with toy trucks, you were learning to fish. When
other kids were watching television, you were gathering wild
plants and building your own shelter.

Prerequisite: Must be taken at 1st level.

Benefit: You are granted a +2 bonus to all Survival checks.


You also gain a +2 to the following checks and saves:
Constitution checks made to avoid damage from starvation or
thirst and Fortitude saves to avoid damage from hot or cold
environments.

Special: The bonuses to Fortitude saves and Constitution


checks stack with those granted by the Endurance feat.

DELINQUENT
[background]
You grew up on the wrong side of the law. Whether it was due
to the circumstances of your environment or just an unruly
nature, you took to crime at a young age.

Prerequisite: Must be taken at 1st level.

Benefit: Select one of the following skills, you are granted a


+2 bonus to all checks made with this skill: Disable Device,
Forgery, Knowledge (streetwise), or Sleight of Hand. You
also gain a +1 bonus to all Reflex saves.

FAMOUS PARENTS [background]


You are the offspring of someone who has achieved a
degree of recognition in their chosen field. One or more of
your parents is a noted scientist, a celebrated author or a
famed performer of some sort.

Prerequisite: Must be taken at 1st level.

Benefit: Select one of the following skills, you are granted a


+2 bonus to all checks made with this skill: Diplomacy,
Knowledge (any), Perform (any), or Profession. Your
Reputation bonus also increases by +1.

HEALTH FREAK [background]


You have an obsession with staying fit. Constant exercise
and a wholesome lifestyle keep you vigorous and healthy.

Benefit: You are granted a +2 bonus on Fortitude saving


throws made to resist the effects of disease or poison. You
also gain 1 additional hit point at 1st level.

HUMAN ENCYCLOPEDIA
[background]
You have spent your entire life pouring over books and
scraping together bits of obscure knowledge. This eclectic
assembly of facts serves you well on occasion.

Prerequisite: Must be taken at 1st level.

Benefit: The scope of questions you can answer with an


untrained knowledge check is not limited to common
knowledge. You can make an
untrained Knowledge check to
see if your character knows
something about a
specific topic,
regardless of
