dress in typical

costumes, for

skirts with long
shirts, an apron, a
headscarf and
espadrilles. On the
other hand, mens
wear long shirts
with simple pants,
apron,ruana,hat
and espadrilles.
What people During the flower
do. fair, the main
event is the
parade of
silleteros, where
large quantities of
flowers are carried
in silletas, which
are wooden pieces
with handles. In
these silletas
various
decorations are
made with flowers,
representative of
the country.
Another activity to
do during the
flower fair is to
attend the trova
festival, where to
the rhythm of the
guitar and the tiple
they improvise
rhymes with jokes
about specific
situations or
people.
Other option to do
in this celebration
is to participate in
the flower fair
concert. This
concert brings
together the most
important artists at
the Atanasio
Girardot Stadium.
Finally, another
activity that can be
done at the flower
fair is to attend the
parade of classic
cars.
 Why it is a The flower fair its
special an important event
celebration. because it is a
tribute to the
Antioquian culture
of colonial times,
where the silletas
were used to
transport people
through the
mountains of the
region, and in the
early twentieth
century the silletas
began to be used
to carry flowers
from the towns of
Antioquia to
Medellin.
Every year
thousands of
people gather at
this fair to exalt the
Paisa culture,
which is why it is
so important.
