Prohibited Sourcing Regions Policy

I. SCOPE

American Eagle Outfitters, Inc. (“AEO”), is dedicated to maintaining a high level of social
responsibility as it relates to the treatment of workers, by agents, vendors, factories,
subcontractors and others in our supply chain. At AEO, we do not tolerate the use of forced
labor in any circumstance in our supply chain. To that end, the Code of Conduct explicitly
prohibits its suppliers from using “any form of forced, involuntary or trafficked labor,
including prison, bonded, and indentured.”

We at AEO are extremely concerned regarding the allegations of forced labor in Uzbekistan,
Turkmenistan, and the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region in China; therefore, we prohibit
the manufacture of any product or the use of any raw material from these regions.

II. WHO MUST READ & UNDERSTAND THIS POLICY

This policy applies to all AEO brands’ suppliers (including agents, vendors, factories,
subcontractors and material suppliers).

III. POLICY

Suppliers, manufacturers, fabric mills, yarn spinners, and their subsidiaries and/or subcontractors are
not permitted to use cotton or any other materials or finished goods from Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan or
the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region (XUAR) in China in any AEO brands’ products.
We expect all vendors and suppliers to take steps to maintain accurate maps of their supply
chains concerning the source of raw cotton or cotton products, or any other materials,
purchased for use in AEO brands’ products. Such steps include, but are not limited to,
obtaining country of origin certificates for raw cotton and other materials used in spinning
yarn for fabric, auditing and testing to verify origin information.

IV. VIOLATIONS

Noncompliance with this policy will directly affect AEO’s business relationship, up to and
including business termination.
