Safety and Health

We are all committed to provide a safe, healthy work environment, and accident-free
for everyone. However, excellent safe and healthy conditions do not occur by
chance. Thus, learning and attending a course for Safety and Health is a very
important one. Alison offers free learning courses especially in this time of pandemic.
They provide so many courses related to engineering but also in other sectors of
work.
The Construction Safety and Health course in Alison was a good opportunity
to take. We can learn the fundamentals, application, and values here.In the first part
of the module is they set out the effective safety management and SMP 20 and its
construction. The SMP20 course will teach you how to develop a safety statement
for your business, accurately assess risk on the worksite, and carry out dangerous
tasks safely and effectively.

Risk Assessment is one of the important keys to follow here. A risk is the
likelihood that someone will be harmed by the hazard, together with the severity of
the harm suffered. A hazard in general means anything that can cause harm. Some
workplace hazards are obvious. Others are not. For example, hazards presented by
untidy workplaces, stress, or excessive noise are less obvious than the hazards
presented by working at height or moving heavy loads. Control measures are the
precautions taken to ensure that a hazard will not injure anyone.
