Doctors became an 'Brand Ambassador' for the commercial of medicine products. Doctors
became 'Sales Man' to get more profit from selling of medicine products. Doctors are forbidden
to appointing patients with certain medicine products.
In electronic media there are fewer doctors and other health care workers who advertise and
advertise a product. Health care workers advertise the product with appointing patients to buy
certain drugs from pharmaceutical company. But according to health ministers' rules, doctors and
health-care workers are forbidden to advertise and become advertising models. Many healthcare
workers advertise a product from pharmaceutical companies because a lot of money in an easy
way. Health care workers or health services could be sanctioned by the association of medical
ethics in Indonesia.
I personally believe that health care workers especially doctors should not promotion medicine
from pharmaceutical companies because it break the rules in Indonesia.

commercial service.

ethics in Indonesia. Ethically, both self advertisements and health / beauty products associated
with identity and title of a physician are not justified unless the physician has non active license
and the product advertisement is a non – health, non beauty and does not involve the title and
attribute of the physician. ( Indonesian Medical Code of Ethics 2012 clause 4 )
I personally believe that health care workers especially doctors should not promotion medicine
from pharmaceutical companies because it break the rules in Indonesia and because doctors just
want the big commission from the pharmaceutical companies. It means doctors break their
Hippocratic Oath.
