One of the world’s top sources came from mining.

It is the process of extracting various

geological properties from the earth. According to the National Academies Press, improving and
sustaining the standards of living require mineral commodities that can be obtained through
mining. The mining industry contributes to the strong workforce, roads, hospitals, automobiles,
satellites, computers, and houses. Furthermore, it provides economic stability. Mining generates
electric power that is a great advantage to humans.

One of the world’s top sources came from minerals. The mineral industry
contributes to the strong workforce, roads, hospitals, automobiles, satellites, computers,
and houses. It also provides economic stability. Some of these minerals also generate
electric power that is a great advantage to humans. These help in the technological,
industrial, medical, social and economic progress as well as development of the society

Tenefrancia (2018) reported that the Philippines is 5th on the most mineral mineralized
country worldwide. The Philippines mainly produces minerals such as nickel, gold, and copper.
The country also targets to export other minerals, including quartz, iron, gypsum, chromite,
sulfur, mica, and calcite. Among all the regions in the Philippines, it has been found that
Benguet, Nueva Vizcaya, Masbate, Cebu, Davao, Compostela Valley, Surigao, and Palawan are
the most active in conducting mining actions. Aside from that, the Philippine mining industry is
lawful both in civil and common.
While there are existing advantages such as the production of mobile devices, cars,
televisions, etc., mining can also be a threat to human lives. According to Environmental
Conscience, mining can cause soil pollution. Due to the heavy work of mining, many soils are
transferred and processed. In connection to this, mining utilizes harmful chemicals to obtain
valuable minerals from dirt. Furthermore, one of the contributors to deforestation. Large parts of
the land are needed for mining processes. It leads to the cutting of numerous trees that can harm
all the living things on earth.
These facts only indicate that neither of the two sides must be chosen. Mining can be an
advantage to industrialization and harmful to living things. Mining has a vital role in daily living.
However, it serves as a dangerous activity that could lead to the destruction of the environment
and human lives. While it helps in technological and social progress, it also exists as a barrier to
a safe and healthy environment that all living things must-have. With that, no side must be taken,
for they both have their benefits and downsides on the environment and welfare of all existing
humans, animals, and plants.

Mining helps in the technological, industrial, medical, social and economic progress as
well as development.
I am neither pro nor against. While there are existing advantages such as the
production of mobile devices, cars, televisions, and many other things, mining can also be a
threat to the environment and human lives. It utilizes harmful chemicals to obtain
valuable minerals from dirt. It is also one of the contributors to deforestation. To make it
short, mining helps in technological, industrial and social progress, however, it also exists
as a barrier to a safe and healthy environment that all living things must-have. In taking a
side, I believe sustainable mining is acceptable, which will minimize or reduce the dangerous
and threatening impacts to the welfare of all existing humans, animals and plants.
