Distinguished guest of honor and speaker, Miss Diana

Herrera Ancheta, our very able and hardworking head teacher,

MRS. GLORIA PANG-AG.

The barangay captains, the Alumni President, Engr. Nelson

Halunajan, PTA Officers, beloved teachers, PNHS Alumni, friends,
fellow graduates, ladies and gentlemen, a pleasant day to all of
you.

Today, we are graduating in the midst of a global pandemic.

Thank you LORD!, at least there is a certain way to make this
end so special. I ask all of you to remember back to June 2019,
when we first walked into Palali National High School as Senior
High School freshman. The last school year 2019-2020 when we
were able to learn from each other, share our laughter and
sadness; we got irritated with one’s behavior, pressured with
nonsense issues, occupied with so many tasks and assignments,
then suddenly face to face classes stopped.

I can’t believe we made it to the end! To our dear teachers,

today’s achievement is the result of your contribution. Thanks for
guiding and inspiring us. Our experience with COVID was far
different from this. I still remember that final day just before the
shift to Modular classes at the halls of the School Campus. There
were ongoing questions of, “how will this work?”, “will I be able to
focus?” We’ve gone from classrooms to bedrooms, school
uniforms to pyjamas, and school ground to breakout rooms. We
were in lockdown. Locked down from social events and work.
Locked down from what could have been boundless opportunities.
Locked down from the benefits of being a citizen of a country we
live in.

To my parents, I feel so honored and blessed to have you as

my parents, and want to express my gratitude for your care and
support over the years. Thank you for instilling me with a strong
passion for learning and for doing everything possible to put me
on the path to greatness. I will never forget the important values
you have passed down to me—particularly perseverance and
honesty. Words cannot describe how important you are to me.

Home confinement is costly but you never complained about

the cost of my education. Nonetheless, I know how much you
sacrificed for me. Today, I feel so honored to be graduating from
Palali National High school. This achievement would not have
been possible without your support—both moral and financial.

There are no better words to use today than "thank you,"

Mama and Papa”. You have given me the greatest gift of all: an
education, the best legacy that parents can pass on to their child.
Thank you so much for believing in me. You are the best parents
in the world, and I owe my success to you.

To all of my friends who are always to cheer me up

whenever I feel down. I am forever grateful for the moments
we’ve been spent together- all the shared jokes, wishes, dreams,
successes, laughter, tears, and above all, for our friendship. We
maybe separate ways after senior high school, but I know that
our hearts will never be apart.

To the graduates of 2021 here before me and behind the

screens, may we all continue to conquer our battles be it within
us and among us. We shall now officially step down from the hill
towards a world far different to how we once perceived it. You
and I have persisted amidst our own personal journeys and
towards the greater and more perplex communal journey among
us. Graduates a big congratulation to all of you. Good luck and
keep your stars shining brightly.

Let us pray for one another, that the Lord will direct us in our
path. Remember what the Book of PROVERBS 3:5-6 says,

Trust in the Lord with all your heart

and lean not on your own understanding;

in all your ways submit to him,

and He will make your paths straight.

Thank you and God bless us all!
