PW ITRAY
T H E H I G H E ST LO A D R AT E D 6” T R AY
IN THE INDUSTRY

PW ITray is suited for use with heavy industrial environments, including oil, gas,
and chemical facilities. Its all aluminum construction resists harsh chemicals and
corrosion due to exterior exposure. It also has the best weight-to-load ratio with the
UNIQUE
highest standard load rating for any 6” tray in the industry. The key to its load capacity

is derived from the unique side wall design and mid-span splice. ITray is available

with multiple rung types and for applications with up to 30’ spans.

6A24C ITray sizes available:

• Lengths – 240”, 288”, 360” • Widths – 6”, 9”, 12”, 18”, 24”, 30”, 36”

id-span splice included with all straight sections • Mid-span splice plate does not work with 6” rung
and works with all 6A24C configurations spacing, trough or solid bottom configurations
• Free geomet outdoor rated hardware • Outdoor rated hardware is an additional cost
• Splice plate snaps in place • Mid-span splice plate does not snap in place

UNIQUE SIDERAIL AND SPLICE
PLATE DESIGN
In looking at our material, you will see that the side rail of the
cable tray has an offset that runs horizontally in the center of the
side rail. The offset provides added strength to the side rail. This is
a common method that engineers use to add strength to formed
metal products. Our splice plate is also the longest in the industry,
measuring 12 inches, providing ample contact with the side rail.
It is the same thickness, extruded in the same configuration,
and actually “seats” in the offset in the side rail and between the
Ibeam flanges. Once our splice plate is bolted in place, it in effect
becomes an integral part of the side rail. It is not just a coupling.
This integration adds stiffness in the horizontal direction and, MID-SPAN
most importantly, minimizes deflection. SPLICE

Total Supports Needed 67 37

The reason our ITray system requires fewer supports is directly related to
how we uniquely construct the side rails of our ITray product and, most
importantly, the complimentary configuration of our splice plate. This

“integrated” design allows the splice plate to provide mid-span support on

all straight sections and thus reduces fitting support requirements. Mascoutah, IL 62258
