Hydroelectricity
Whenever you turn on your phone or computer, do you ever think
about how your phone works or where does the electricity from
your computer come from? The answer is hydroelectricity. First let
us find out what hydroelectricity is. Hydroelectricity is a form
of energy that harnesses the power of water in motion to
generate electricity. Did you know in 2015, hydropower
generated 16.6% of the world's total electricity and 70% of all
renewable electricity? While there is good from hydroelectricity,
there is also bad. It can also cause environmental threats, such as
damaged animal habitats, get in the way of fish migration, and
less benefits of rivers.

Another hydroelectric power is a wind turbine. A wind turbine is

a device that converts the wind's energy into electrical energy.
The good that comes with it: it is cost-effective, It creates jobs,
and It's a clean fuel source. But wind turbines have a visual
impact, may reduce the local bird population. And involve
high upfront capital investment. Other people should care about
this because we can learn to save energy and never run out of it.
And it’s good for the environment.
