    NARRATIVE 

    BARANGAY DRUG CLEARING PROGRAM

    Barangay Langub, the fifth largest barangay in the municipality of Asturias,

    belongs to the moderately affected barangay under the illegal use of drugs.

    However, the barangay has implemented devolved functions, services and facilities

    namely: Organization and Functionality of Barangay Anti- Drug Abuse Council, Anti-

    Drug Abuse Programs such as: IEC on Anti- Illegal Drugs, Kabataan Kontra Illegal

    na Droga (KKDT), Drug Prevention Week and International Day Against Drug Abuse

    and Illicit Trafficking (IDADAIT); Intensifying action against illegal drugs through

    organizing and strengthening of Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Council through

    advocacy and Information campaign; Focal Point for various organizations and

    individuals to work together in the planning, implementation and evaluation of illegal

    drugs prevention. 

    Among the devolved functions, services and facilities, the Barangay focuses

    on focal points for various organizations and individuals to work together in the

    planning, implementation and evaluation of illegal drug prevention. In this manner of

    operation, close monitoring is the center of function where illegal drug users can be

    monitored and reported to proper authorities.
