Ludwig Van Beethoven was born in 1770 in Bonn, Germany. He died in Vienna in 1827
at the age of 56
He studied violin and piano when he was only five years old, and when he was
he eight he was giving public concerts.
His mother died when he was 16 years old. Beethoven had to take over and
act as mother and father to his two little brothers.
After the death of his father in 1792, Beethoven decided to travel to Vienna with his
his brothers to earn a living as a musician.
Everything went well at first. He made influential friends among the aristocracy,
and he was soon in demand as a pianist and fashion teacher. However, l

In these later string quartets and piano sonatas, Beethoven continued to express
the musical vision of him.
