Sir Isaac Newton

Physically, Sir Isaac Newton was not a large man. However, he had a large intellect, as shown by his
discoveries on gravity, light, motion, mathematics, and more. Legend has it that Isaac Newton came up
with gravitational theory in 1665, or 1666, after watching an apple fall. The legend is that Newton
discovered Gravity when he saw a falling apple while thinking about the forces of nature. Whatever
really happened, Newton realized that some force must be acting on falling objects like apples because
otherwise they would not start moving from rest. Isaac Newton changed the way we understand the
Universe. Revered in his own lifetime, he discovered the laws of gravity and motion and invented
calculus
