ABOUT THE ORGANIZER

Society of Petrophysicists and Well Log Analysts
Universitas Pertamina Student Chapter (SPWLA
UP SC) is a non-profit organization that is part of
the Society of Petrophysicists and Well Log
Analysts (SPWLA) located in Houston. This
organization is concerned with the science of
petrophysiscs, well logging, and formation
evaluation as well as promote awareness and
value of petrophysics in the oil and gas industry
and the scientific community.
 GENERAL RULES

Targets of participants :
The targets of the International PetroWell Event - PSCC (PetroWell Study Case Competition) are all students majoring in Geoscience /
Pure Geophysics / Geophysical Engineering / Pure Geology / Geological Engineering / Petroleum Engineering / Mining Engineering.
as evidenced by a Student Identity Card.

Rule Change :
Rules are subject to change at any time before the competition starts and will be announced as soon as possible and the clarification will
sent on participant’s email directly.

Platform :
The PetroWell Study Case Competition (PSCC) and The Annual Forum
will be virtually held using Zoom meeting platform.
All participants must be punctual and have a good connection. Any
connection problems from the participants are not committee’s
responsibility.
Participants must rename their name to “Team Number_Team
Name_Full Name” before entering the competitions at the final round.
Basic Terms of Conditions:
Participants are registered as active undergraduate students of universities.
Participants are in the form of a team consisting of a maximum of 3 people with 1 person as the team leader.
Participants must submit their student identity or student card in the form.
The elimination and final rounds are held online at each participant's place.
Participants in one team can come from different majors but must come from the same college.
Participants are prohibited from moving or duplicating the data provided as a matter by the committee for any reason.
After the elimination round is carried out, a maximum of 10 finalists who will advance to the final round will be announced.
The report is written in English.
Participants deliver the final round presentation in English.
Any form of plagiarism will be disqualified.
Any form of late collection from the specified time cannot be tolerated and will be subject to a point deduction.
Participants who violate the above rules will be sanctioned by the committee with the maximum penalty for disqualification.
The decision of the panellists and committee is final and cannot be contested.
Dress code using neat and polite clothes and showing the identity of the university when presenting.
REGISTRATION MECHANISM
Each team is charged a registration fee of IDR 50.000,00/team at 6043660590 Salsabila Putri Rahmayani (Bank
Central Asia) to participate in the PSCC elimination round.
Proof of payment for the allowance stage can be sent to the official email of IPW 2021 at ipw.spwlaupsc@gmail.com
with the subject: Prove_PSCC_Elimination_Institution_Team Name.
After making a payment, each team must register at the start of the preliminary round by filling the registration form &
antiplagiarism form that attached in link : bit.ly/GuidelinePSCC2021.
The registration form & antiplagiarism form must be sent to official email of IPW 2021 at
ipw.spwlaupsc@gmail.com with subject : Registration_PSCC_Elimination_Institution_Team Name.

best 10 teams based on the highest scores
announced on November 15th, 2021.

the right to qualify for the final stage to take
part in the next competition at the
International PetroWell Event - PSCC
(PetroWell Study Case Competition) and can

10 teams that pass the final stage will be charged IDR 100.000,00/team. Payment, registration, and
confirmation of attendance for the final stage will be carried out on November 12-13, 2021. If any of
the 10 teams that have been determined are absent, the team will be replaced by another team on the
waiting list based on the top ranking.
Payment for the final stage can be paid to an account at 6043660590 Salsabila Putri Rahmayani
(Bank Central Asia).
As confirmation, each team is required to send proof of payment to the official email of IPW 2021 at
ipw.spwlaupsc@gmail.com with the subject: PROVE_PSCC_Final_Institution_Team Name.
PETROWELL STUDY CASE COMPETITION (PSCC)
Study case competition is part of the International PetroWell Event 2021. This competition
will held around October to December. Participants will be tested for their knowledge and
understanding evaluation of formation. Also this competitions will held online via Zoom
platform meeting.

MATERIALS SYLLABUS :
The following is the syllabus given as descriptions of the material elaborated with the questions in the case :
