Written for Treasurers by Treasurers

MEDIA INFORMATION
2006

Treasury Management International was first published in 1992 to serve the needs of
treasurers around Europe. The mission of the publication was simple, but extremely
important. It was to be “written by treasurers for treasurers”.

That simple, but effective approach still provides the core values for the publication.

It was not long before TMI, recognising the global nature of the treasurer’s role, began to
serve the needs of treasurers in the rest of the world, with supplements and special editions
for the Asian and the North American market.

Then 2003 saw the first regular edition of TMI Asia.

Now in 2006 and we are proud to announce the launch of TMI USA. TMI USA will appear on
a quarterly basis and will still be written by US treasurers for US treasurers.

TMI – three distinct publications covering the specific needs of three distinct markets,
but with one guiding principle: To be the corporate treasurer publication written by
treasurers for treasurers.

On 22 September 2004 TMI signed an exclusive
publishing agreement with the European Association
of Corporate Treasurers (EACT) who represent 7,500
treasurers across Europe responsible for an estimate of
US$ 3 trillion of treasury business. This publishing
agreement makes TMI Europe the official publication for
EACT members ensuring TMI Europe as their magazine.
As François Masquelier, Chairman EACT said at the time:
“TMI will be an outstanding forum for our association
through which we will share our work, our projects and
our objectives with the numerous readers of the magazine
… The admission of new countries to the European Union,
the future accession of other countries to the euro zone
and the creation of regional treasurers’ associations in a
number of countries will allow the EACT to grow. We see
this as the beginning of a long and fruitful collaboration
between our two organisations. It is often said that the best
lies ahead, so it is our wish that this will be the case for our
young association of treasurers’ associations in the euro
zone…”
But TMI also has an agreement with The Society of
International Treasurers (S.I.T.), the organisation that
represents only treasurers in corporations with minimum sales
of US$ 400 million per annum or equivalent, having signed a
co-operation and exclusive publishing agreement with
Treasury Management International (TMI) magazine. This
agreement enables the S.I.T. to provide information regularly
on its work and events not only to its members via the pages
of TMI magazine, but also to the wider financial community.

What is TMI USA?

TMI recognised the need for a dedicated
treasury magazine for the North American
large corporate market.

2006 saw the launch of our new publication,

TMI USA, dedicated solely to the treasury
function, based on the successful formulae of
both TMI & TMI Asia, and the editorial ethos of
being written by treasurers for treasurers.

A further exclusive publishing agreement was

reached between TMI and the Treasury
Association of New York (TMANY) during
November 2005 for this new North American
publication. Once again its members will regularly
receive the publication and use its pages to
communicate amongst themselves and the wider
North American treasury and finance arena.

Whilst TMI has already enjoyed a solid penetration

of the Fortune 1,000 companies and runs several
successful Roundtable events in New York,
attracting senior treasurers, it has now expanded its
database to ensure that over 5,000 treasurers in the
North American market will read TMI USA, covering
the USA’s top 4,000 companies by market
capitalisation.
TMI USA is also privileged to be working with both
TMAC and TMANE in 2006.

24,000 readership
5,500 copies have a guaranteed distribution to all EACT

over 60 countries
Approx. 1,000 copies are distributed to FDs and
CEOs of Local government organisations within
Europe
In addition to the corporate sector, TMI is also distributed to the Chief
Financial Officers of Europe’s largest local government organisations.
Though prior to the recent EU-directed deregulation, the basic financing
and investment needs of this sector were fully satisfied by local banks.
Today, this sector now offers significant new potential for marketing the
latest working capital management solutions and services, and TMI offers
advertisers a unique and wide-ranging opportunity of direct access to the
major decision-taking finance executives in all the major town halls of Europe.

Overall, our readership is clearly interested in the classic disciplines of cash and
risk management, international trade services and working capital management;
but continues to demand information and creative ideas from an expanded
professional field, which is precisely what we supply in terms of editorial content
and special supplements.
