How are you doing? Welcome to English Learning Packet!
This learning material is prepared to be used by the parents/guardians and the learners.
This is designed to introduce you to activities that involve speaking, writing, reading, and thinking
skill. This material is prepared explicitly since examples are given before you work with the
activities. In case you have internet connectivity or mobile phone that can open soft copy files, the
full package of this learning packet per lesson may be requested from the teacher/adviser so it
would be sent via face book messenger. Also, it can be accessed thru a google drive link.

To the Parents/Guardians:

Although, our learning modality presents us all formidable challenges, this learning kit
guarantees that we all learn how to do things differently for a while. During this trying moment,
you will play vital role in the successful learning of your children as you will serve as teachers
from home. With this Learning Packet, you shall observe and perform the following routines before
using the tools:

1. Read the instructions, then guide your child through the activity;
2. Establish routines and expectations;
3. Choose a convenient area to learn;
4. Begin and end the day with the Monitoring Plan;
5. Talk each day with your child about the results of the given activities;
6. Keep Answer Card before using the learning packet. Use it in checking the answers of your
child in every activity to monitor successful learning; and
7. Use General Evaluation Card on the 5th day of the week. This Card contains the learning
competencies discussed which your child studied and answered.
This Learning Packet includes four (4) parts:
1. Guide Card presents and explains the lesson;
2. Activity Card is a 20 item exercise divided into four (4) parts in which level of difficulty
is considered. Most of the exercises in the Activity Cards can be completed
independently since an example is provided. We recommend that you refer back to
Instructional Design to check on the allotment of the lesson;
3. Evaluation Card contains a five (5) item assessment to measure the success of learning;
and
4. Answer Card shows the answers for all exercises in the learning packet.

To the Learner:

This Learning Packet is prepared for you to continue learning despite this difficult time. In
this learning material, you will work with exercises and tasks which can be done independently.
These are activities that allow you to practice and develop necessary skills in order to be ready in
the next grade level. Hence, keep in mind the following:

1. Read this Learning Packet completely;

2. Read and understand the instructions and the contents of Guide Card carefully;
3. Study how the example before each exercise/task is presented; this serves as your guide;
4. Complete the Activity Card and Evaluation Card that detail your learning;
5. Write your answers on a separate sheet;
6. Perform and follow what is indicated in the directions; and
7. Be ready, at times, for a “Kamustahan” session with your adviser/subject teacher.
