FeaturesFS
Choose three most important tasks or features. Describe the classroom application for each task or feature. Why is this feature or
function important?
1. Sketchup has interoperability. This is useful in the classroom because it allows students to be able to use different
types of files in their work.
2. Sketchup can be used for subjects other than architecture. Students can use it to learn math concepts, learn art
concepts, and even adapt it to use with other subjects. I saw a video where a history teacher used it. His class
sketched buildings of the era they were learning about.
3. Sketchup has cloud storage. This will allow students to save and share their work.
4. Another feature is you can make 2D and 3D designs. 2D and 3D can allow students to experiment with designs.
5. Once you make a design, you can place your design directly on Google Earth. Placing a design on Google Earth can give
students a real-life version of their design.

Support Available
Sketchup has a help section on their website. It includes a FAQ section, user guides, course, and a community forum. All of
these are free.

Possible ImprovementsFS
1. Need to improve the layout of the website. It’s very difficult to guide your way through the website.
2. Some people have trouble with the website, because of bugs and it crashes sometimes.
3. The help center isn’t on the main website, it has its own website. They should add it to the main one, because people have
questions when working on their project and they don’t want to leave the webpage they are already on.
