“The Internet is often blamed for the lack of creativity and critical

thinking in today’s youth.” Do you agree with the statement? Justify your stand
by giving relevant examples where appropriate. You should write at least 350
words
The Internet nowadays is very essential in our daily life as it provides
channel for communicating, business, and other related work in our daily
activities. Without the internet, our movement might be restricted as there is
lack of information or delayed in receiving orders occurs. Debate has been done
to determine the pros and cons of the internet. I agree with the statement given.
In this essay, I will discuss that the internet is the source of answer for youth
nowadays, creative ideas can be depicted from the internet and the Internet has
become the foundation for youth nowadays. (Introduction/introductory
paragraph)

Firstly, the internet is the source of answer for youth today. This is
because a lot of questions or problems related to thinking can be found on the
internet along with its solution. This causes youth nowadays to copy the answer
and critical thinking is hot applied. In spite of the implementation of Higher
Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) in schools, students or youth will always use
search engine like Yahoo and Google or browsers like Google Chrome, Internet
Explorer and Mozilla Firefox. This makes the implementation of HOTS to be
useless. Students will attempt to memorise the answer and use it in examination.
Therefore, the Internet causes the lack of critical thinking in today’s youth.
(Body paragraph 1)

Secondly, creative related ideas are available and can be depicted from
the Internet. From the Internet, youth nowadays can obtain a lot of information
or ideas. The ideas obtained can be used during school and also work. Although
the ideas are creative, they are not created originally by the users. This makes
youth lack creativity. During the old times when the Internet is absent, a lot of
creative ideas and devices are created for the use of humankind. For example,
the creation of light bulb by Thomas Edison was made by his critical thinking
and own creativity. However, creativity is prevented to be expended nowadays
because there are plenty of creative ideas found on the social media platforms or
websites found on the Internet. Youth nowadays always attempt to copy the
ideas because they are too lazy to think and work hard for it. Thus, it is true that
the Internet is to blamed for the lack of creativity. (Body paragraph 2)

Finally, the Internet has become the youth foundation. This is because
today’s youth feel that the Internet is the place to solve the problems and
shortcut towards everything. Be it work, school problems or personal problems,
the Internet provides information and solutions for everything. For example,
they will express their opinion or look for ideas on social media platforms like
Twitter or Instagram. In fact, they feel that the Internet is a better teacher
compared to the real-life once. This can be seen from Youtube platform as there
are a lot of videos on learning and teaching. Other than that, any problem
related to critical thinking or creativity can be found online. The Internet is the
source to everything and all the information. Due to this, youth nowadays will
refer to the Internet for all sorts of problems. They need only to type and click on
the web browser without using their own capabilities to solve any problem. This
is major problem for youth as they cannot move forward with this situation.
Therefore, the Internet is to be blamed for the lack of creativity and critical
thinking. (Body paragraph 3)

In conclusion, the Internet is the source of answer for today’s youth plays
where creative ideas can be depicted and it has become youth foundation
nowadays. The government, society and especially the parent should advice
youth nowadays not to always be dependent on the Internet for their own sake.
Youth should also be informed that even without the Internet usage, their
creativity and critical thinking skills can be boosted. (Conclusion/concluding
paragraph)

Sunburn

When I was studying overseas, I have always been warned about the danger of
getting a severe skin condition called sunburn. I myself had a vague idea about it and
since I come from a tropical country, such occurrence rarely takes place. However in
western countries, the one that experience the four seasons in particular, the UV rays
are much more dangerous and invasive. Therefore my seniors always reminded us to
put on sunscreen on the exposed area of our skin namely our face and arm. I
personally have seen my other friends experienced severe sunburn. Luckily I have
not.

Sunburn is a skin condition that is dangerous and needs to be prevented from

happening. However it is not common in countries with tropical climate with cases
happening less than 10% of the time people are outdoors. It’s a different story in
European countries for example where majority of adults (90%) put on sunscreen
whenever they are out and about. It is to protect them from getting this harmful type
of skin condition.

Tai chi started as a martial art for self-defence without using weapons. Zan
Sanfeng, a monk, observed the movements of animals and found that the snake and
crane have strong movements. He developed a set of exercises which imitated these
animals. Over time, people discovered that the graceful series of tai chi movements
could help improve their health. Today, practitioners of Tai chi believe that, besides
fluid movements, two important elements -breathing and meditation – have many
benefits.

People experience varying degrees of anxiety throughout their lives. An anxiety

attack, also known as panic attack, can be defined as a short period of strong fear
which occurs for no known reason. An anxiety attack can affect anyone, regardless of
age or gender. The attack can be a one-time event, or it can occur many times in a
person’s lifetime. Some people, however, experience such a severe attack of anxiety
that it interferes with their normal lives.

Vitamins are substances which are essential in small amounts for healthy growth
and development. One important vitamin is vitamin E, which was first discovered in
1992. Since its discovery, vitamin E has been widely hailed as a miracle vitamin in its
role in preserving health. Researches argue that large doses of vitamin E can cure
cancer, fight the ageing process and prevent a host of health problems. To ensure
healthy growth and development and prevent deficiencies, the US Academy of
Sciences has established the RDA (Recommended Daily Allowance), which estimates
our body’s daily requirement of vitamins
