Here’s perhaps my best fortress to date.

It was
designed for a character in the ascendant: Freydis
Ulfdrottnir, who became Queen of Saerad. The
fortress was unlocked by inserting an archaic sword
into a huge stone (see map) and bringing the place
from sleeping in a pocket reality.

The place is built from pale grey block work and the
spires and roofed areas are clad in old blue grey
slate. Windows are of a bluish glass, many are set
into carved stone frames. Doorways are usually
heavy wood, some bound with bronze in secure
areas. Arrow slits about and cover many important
internal areas. Due to over detailing, I found I
couldn’t sensibly reproduce all the doorways. Please
put in a door of your own volition. They all have
them. Some chambers (6-4 to 6-8) have no physical
access. These are connected by a balcony
overlooking the courtyard and are usable as secure
rooms.

The large crescent staircase in the courtyard rises up

to serve the “Upper Levels” and continues with
chamber U-1. Access through the upper levels is
choked intentionally so invaders might get tied up in
areas where they don’t expect.

You will have to study these plans to join them up

otherwise in play you might get confused.

In all, please fill this with whatever you want. It’s my

place, (Copyright O.G.Osborne © 2011) but you can
use it as long as money isn’t involved. Have fun!
