Get familiar with the following terms:

Idle mode The idle mode is used for saving power during inactivity of a user
equipment (UE). In this mode, the UE is switched on, but there is no
RRC connection established.

IRAT Inter Radio Access Technology

SIB6 System Information Block type 6 carries WCDMA neighbors

information, carries serving UTRA and neighbor cell frequencies
useful for cell re-selection

SIB7 System Information Block type 7 carries GSM neighbors

information, carries GERAN frequencies as well as GERAN
neighbor cell frequencies. It is used for cell re-selection as well as
handover purpose.

SIB8 System Information Block type 8 carries CDMA-2000 EVDO

frequencies, CDMA-2000 neighbor cell frequencies.

When this feature is enabled, information about CDMA2000 frequencies and neighboring cells
relevant for cell re-selection from LTE to CDMA/1xRTT network can be broadcasted to the UE
in the idle and in the active mode.

When this feature is enabled, information about CDMA2000 frequencies and neighboring cells
relevant for cell re-selection from LTE to a CDMA/eHRPD network can be broadcasted to the
UE in the idle and in the active mode.
