Nokia AirScale Subrack (AMIA)

The AirScale Subrack (AMIA) has a 3U height and fits into a standard 19” rack. Multiple subracks can be stacked
on top of each other. The indoor subrack includes fans, a backplane for internal communication, and the DC-feed.
The direction of the cooling air can be changed by rotating fans. The default direction is front-to-back.
Without blind covers, the weight of the AirScale Subrack is 5.1 kg (11.3 lb).
The AMIA can accommodate plug-in units in the following locations:
One or two ASIA plug-in units in slots C1 and C2 (as shown in Figure: AMIA slot numbering)
Up to six ABIA plug-in units in slots B1 to B6 (as shown in Figure: AMIA slot numbering)
