The United States of America is one of the greatest countries in the world. It is
situated on the North American continent and is washed by three oceans: the
Pacific, the Atlantic, and the Arctic. The USA borders only in two countries —
Canada and Mexico. This great country has a lot of mountains, rivers, lakes. For
example, the main mountains are the Appalachians and the Cordilleras. The
longest rivers are the Mississippi and Missouri. 
In conclusion, the USA can be considered one of the most beautiful and interesting
countries in the world. I think that everyone should visit this country.

The United Kingdom is situated on the British Isles. The British Isles consist of
two large islands, Great Britain and Ireland and a great number of small islands.
The British Isles are separated from the European continent by the North Sea and
the English Channel. The western coast of Great Britain is washed by the Atlantic
Ocean and the Irish Sea. Great Britain consists of three parts: England, Wales, and
Scotland, which have their features. For example, Scotland is the most
mountainous region with the highest peak, Ben Nevis. 
In conclusion, Great Britain has many wonderful places to visit and see. I would
like to visit this country.

The Republic of Moldova is a small country with picturesque landscapes, green
hills, serene lakes and vast fields of sunflowers. The Republic of Moldova lies in
the central part of Europe. On the North, East and South Moldova are surrounded
by Ukraine, and on the West, it is separated from Romania by the Prut River. The
capital of Moldova, Chișinău, is situated on seven hills. It is a surprisingly green
city. Numerous monasteries were built on the Raut and the Nistru rivers, in the
woods and other places of rare beauty. For example, the Hincu monastery. 
To conclude, Moldova is a tourist gem hidden amongst the other European nations.
During my life in this country, I have grown fond of its calmness, beauty, culture,
and a sense of adventure.

I would like to visit London. Its attractions and places of interest are countless and
cater for all tastes and all ages; its shops - small and large - are often unforgettable;
its culture - theatres, and museums are amazing. Firstly, in London, you can spend
your time with fun. For example, you can visit The London Eye, London Zoo and
Hyde Park. Secondly, you can discover the English culture. You can visit The
National Gallery, The British Museum and many different clubs and pubs that are
famous throughout England. 
In my opinion, London is one of those great " world cities " that offer the visitor
not just a wide choice of museums and monuments, but also an unforgettable
experience. In conclusion, London is a city that fascinates and attracts millions.

Kingdom. It is called the Union Jack. The Union Flag represents just that - the
union of the constituent countries of the United Kingdom. Firstly, because it
combines three flags representing England, Scotland, and Ireland. Union Jack is a
mixture of several overlaid flags. Secondly, because it combines their history and
culture. A red cross on a white background is a cross of St George, a patron saint
of England. A white diagonal cross on a blue background is a cross of St Andrew,
a patron saint of Scotland. A red diagonal cross on a white background is a cross of
St Patrick, a patron saint of Ireland.

the country’s history. Firstly, Buckingham Place was a family house, where all
George III’s children were born. Secondly, this place has served as the official
London residence of the UK’s sovereigns. Today Buckingham Place keeps the
history of kings and recalls the times of their reign. Tourists can immerse
themselves in history and learn a lot about the UK.
I think it is a very interesting and beautiful place. So, Buckingham Place can be
considered a monument of English history, where people can find many interesting

wonder about the purpose of Stonehenge. The historians believe that it was a
sanctuary. The mystery of the monument attracts a lot of tourists. I think that it is
one of the most important and interesting monuments in the UK. Firstly, because
people can touch history with their hands. Secondly, Stonehenge stands as an icon
for all that is mysterious about humanity's prehistoric past.

a huge role in protecting Moldova from invasions.

The United States is one of the most culturally diverse countries in the world. The
USA has its own unique social and cultural characteristics, such as dialect, music,
art, folklore. Americans believe that all men are created equal. Working hard is
greatly valued. Americans like to be open and honest. They also have unique
traditions. For example, Halloween. On this occasion children usually wear ghost
costumes or false faces. They also carve out rounded eyes in pumpkins and put
burning candles inside. Thanksgiving, another special American holiday, day of
celebration of the harvest.
In conclusion, Americans have their specific features and traditions that make them

The British are a diverse, multinational and multicultural society. British people
really love tea. they are polite. British culture, customs, and traditions vary from
the weird to the wonderful, from the traditional to the popular. For example, at
Easter, the British give each other chocolate eggs. Christmas is on the 25th of
December. Families spend this day together. Among historic holidays, Guy
Fawkes Night can be mentioned. the British celebrate this day burning a doll made
of straw on a bonfire. In Northern Ireland is a holiday called St. Patrick's Day.

they retain?
Moldova is a country with a rich ethnic history. In spite of the differences between
nationalities, the people here have the most important quality – hospitality. In
Moldova, every guest is received with warmth. Many traditions are centuries old.
There are a lot of holidays and everyone can join them. For example, an important
traditional holiday is "Martisor" – the symbol of spring. In March everybody in
Moldova hangs on their collar two knitted white and red ropes, which symbolize
nature’s revival. In Spring the most important holiday for Moldavians is Easter. On
Harvest Days traditional fairs are organized in towns and villages. 
In conclusion, Moldovan people are friendly, open and hospitable.

Scotland is a part of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
But several things are usually associated with the Scottish culture. For example,
kilt, tartan, bagpipe and scotch whiskey. The kilt is a knee-length skirt, originating
in the traditional dress of men and boys in the Scottish Highlands. It is most often
made of woolen cloth in a tartan pattern. Although the kilt is most often worn on
formal occasions and sports events, it has also been adapted as an item of
fashionable informal male clothing in recent years, returning to its roots as
