LIFT SETTING CORRECTION VALUE
FOR TRANSITIONS

The correction value "K" depends on radius, superelevation and gauge of the track.
The amount of lift to be set to the front levelling feeler "F" has to be reduced by the
correction value "K" enscribed in the list (next page).

ADJUSTING PROCEDURE:
Find the correction value "K" for relevant superelevation "Ü" and radius "R". lt also
important to know the lenght of superelevation ramp (distance between"RA"and"RE").
As soon as the front levelling feeler "F" is at the beginning of the upgoing ramp"RA" the
adjustment commences linear increasing in such a way that the maximum of the
correction value "K" is reached at the end of the ramp "RE".
The "K" value remains constant throught the whole superelevated curve.
Decrease of the "K"value takes place also liner between the next
' RE - RA' ( downgoing ramp ).

LIFT SETTING CORRECTION VALUE
FOR VERTICAL CURVES

ln general vertical curves are circular curves with minimum radius of 2000 metres
tangential to chanches in gradients.
The correction value "X" depends on the radius of the vertical curve "R".

AA AE

ln top vertical curves : Lift setting PLUS "X"

AA AE

ln bottom vertical curves : Lift setting MINUS "X"

ADJUSTING PROCEDURE:
Find the correction value "X" for relevant vertical radius "R".
As soon as the front levelling feeler "F" is at the beginning of vertical curve "AA" the
adjustment of the correction value "X" commences according to distance-depending
graduation enscribed in the adjusting table "X afterAA".
Full amount of "X" remains constant until the end of vertical curve "AE" is reached.
From now on the "X" value is decreasing according to the graduation in the adjusting
table "X after AE".
