Nyxads are the descendents of the sacred union between the goddess Nyx and the Sylph
Evelyn. Their types are humanoid and fey, and though some exist on the material plane, they
originate from the Shroud, the Dark Space between planes.
**Ability Score Increase.** Your Dexterity increases by 2, and your Intelligence increases by 1.
**Age.** As humanoids related to the fey, nyxads are virtually ageless. A nyxad reaches
physical maturity at 24, and no longer agees afterward. Nyxads can not die due to advanced
age.
**Darkvision.** Blessed with a mixture of divine and nymph blood, you have superior vision in
dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light,
and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
**Energetic.** Nyxads don't need to sleep as long as most other races. Instead, they sleep for 4
hours a day. While sleeping in this fashion, they gain the same benefit as a human long resting
for 8 hours and dream normally. If you sleep this way during a long rest, you finish the rest after
only 4 hours. You otherwise obey all the rules for a long rest; only the duration is changed.
**Shadow Blending.** As a creature of the Shroud, nyxads have the ability to meld with
darkness. Nyxads can attempt to hide while in dim or darker light as though they are unseen.

**Size.** Nyxads are smaller and lighter than humans, standing around 5 feet tall and averaging
100 pounds. Your size is Medium.
**Slight Build.** You count as one size smaller when determining your ability to squeeze into
tight spaces.

* Increase either your Intelligence or Charisma score by 1, to a maximum of 20.
* You gain proficiency in one of the following skills of your choice: Investigation or Persuasion.
* You may gather information in a civilized settlement or library in half the normal amount of
time.
