THE OBJECTIVE
This is an individual assignment. The purpose of this assignment is to analyse success and failure
stories of product strategy and management.
THE TASK
• Give one example each of a success and a failure in the domain of product strategy and
management.
• The examples chosen should relate to the Indian context – they could be from Indian or
foreign companies in India.
• The examples have to be focussed and specific. They must relate to a brand or company
product and not a general product category.
• Your reason for categorising your choices as success or failure must be backed by relevant
data and sources of data must be clearly stated.
• You should link your analysis and reasoning with concepts that we have discussed in this
programme and class discussions.
THE REPORT
• Your report should be a maximum of 600 words in Calibri 11 point font.
• This text limit does not include your references
• The report is to be uploaded on Moodle before the deadline that is given to you.
EVALUATION
NOTE :
The objective of this exercise is to learn from the marketplace. Look for examples that are not the
obvious and over exposed.
If there is any indication or evidence of copying or plagiarism, all persons concerned will be given
zero grade for this assignment at a minimum.
SUBMISSION
The submission will be made through Moodle before midnight of 25 August 2021
