LINKING WORDS
 What would you like to do when you leave school sylvia?
 I'd like to become a flight attendant
 Really? How's that?
 To begin with, it's a very exciting job because you get to travel to many
amazing places. For example, you could be in Mexico one day and in
Australia the next. You can visit the outermost corners of the world while
getting paid for that. Isn't that amazing?
Furthermore it is a fascinating job because you can meet people from all
over the world. However, there are also some disadvantages to this job
that I have to consider. Firstly, it is a stressful job. Sometimes you have to
deal with all kinds of difficult situations. In addition, it is a tiring job because
flight attendants often work long hours. Apart from this, you are required
to work on holidays, too. Even so, you still have a lot of leisure time. To
conclude, I believe that, although being a flight attendant can be
challenging at times, it is worth it.
 You still want to be a flight attendant, despite all the disadvantages?
 Yes, I do, without a doubt
 In this case, I hope you achieve your dream one day.
 Thanks
MAKE & DO
 What are you doing?
 I'm making a shopping list. I have to do the shopping.
What should we make for dinner?
Chicken or beef?
 I’m not sure. I can't make up my mind
What would you like to eat?
 How about chicken and rice?
 Yeah, that sounds fine.
 Do you need anything?
 Yes, I need a bar of chocolate, a carton of milk and a dozen eggs.
 What are you going to do with the chocolate? You're thinking of making a
dessert.
 Yes, I want to make a delicious cake.
 That sounds good. Have you done the laundry by any chance? I need to put
on a clean t-shirt.
 Yes, I have.
 Great
 Can you do me a favor? Can you go to the pharmacy, too, and get me some
aspirin? I have a headache
 Sure, I’ll do it. You can count on me. I'll make you some herbal tea. It will do
you good. You can also place a cold pack on your forehead. It may ease the
pain. A massage can also do the trick. Let me do it.
 Thanks, I feel better now.
 And here is your tea. Don't you think you should make an appointment with
the doctor?
 No, it's not necessary. I'll be fine soon. You've done too much work lately.
 You're right, I had to do many projects for work. And I was very stressed
about them. You know my boss always makes such a fuss when I make a
mistake. So I worked very carefully to do a perfect job. I always make sure
there are no mistakes. That's a lot of pressure.
It's almost impossible not to make mistakes from time to time.
 I know. I did my best to make a good impression on my boss.
 I'll do all the housework this weekend so that you can relax more. We can
do some yoga together outdoors at the park tomorrow morning. Going
outside and getting fresh air can make such a big difference on your
mindset for the day.
 Yeah, that makes sense. We should do this more often
