ŪLA MITKEVIČIŪTĖ

Although the first day we arrived quite late, we still found some time and power to walk around the city while looking for a place to
eat. The second day we visited the European Parliament. The visit expanded our knowledge on European Union, Parliament,
democracy and other topics. It was fascinating to be able to walk the same corridors as the leaders of the Union are walking daily.
Also, the presentations and workshops in the conference hall gave as a lot of new information and allowed to communicate with other
participants of the mobility. The international dinner helped to get to know Portuguese and Spanish people better, to start making new
relationships, we not only learned a lot about the students, but also expanded our cultural horizons. Next day we visited the Alsace
Moselle Memorial, which was fascinating because of how unfamiliar we were with the history of this region. The visit to Struthof
concentration camp was touching , made us think a lot about the Holocaust and the victims of it. During the evenings we also found
some more energy and time to explore Strasbourg, try the local cuisine, make a lot of pictures to capture our memories and chat with
other students. The last day let us relax a bit, the tour on the boat was lovely, the panorama from the spire of the Notre-Dame cathedral
was spectacular. Finally, we had our last meeting at a conference hall where we presented our activities during the week, concluded the
mobility and changed presents with the foreigners. This whole week was full of new experiences, acquaintances and various emotions.
