miles, port ahead. MV “Baltic” has to advice MV “Atair” to change course to echo. MV “Atair” has
to inform MV “Baltic” that echo now ahead and she sights red flare maybe life-raft. MV “Baltic”
has to ask MV “Atair” about the possibility to pick up survivors from life-raft. MV “Atair” has to
inform MV “Baltic” she cannot pick up survivors due to heavy seas, but she will stand by at life-
raft and make a lee for picking up. MV “Baltic” has informed she will arrange for helicopter.

MV “Atair” is calling MV “Baltic”.

westerly from distress position but they have still difficulties with picking up crew-

MRCC Bremen has to confirm the information and to inform MV “Baltic” it can contact
helicopter SEARCH 1 on channel 6.

MV “Baltic” has to inform Helicopter she is acting as Co-ordinator Surface Search.

Helicopter has to inform MV “Baltic” he will arrive within 10 minutes at position for
picking up survivors from life-raft, with doctor on board.

MV “Baltic” has to inform helicopter that life-raft on lee side of MV “Atair”. Helicopter has
to inform “Baltic” he sighted life-raft and will pick up persons.

Bremen. The result of search positive, SEARCH 1 picked up all seven crew-members
from life-raft.

He will transfer all persons to hospital, 2 persons in bad condition, 5 persons in good
condition.

MV “Baltic” will pick up empty life-raft and stop search.
