HOW TO MAKE OUR SCHOOL FREE FROM DRUGS

Assalamu’alaikum WR.WB
Excellency all juries
Honorable all of the participants of English speech contest
And respectable to all of the audience

Firstly, let's pray and thank to Allah the Almighty, who has given us mercy and blessing, so
we can attend in this beautiful occasion with a health condition, amine.
Secondly, let’s deliver sholawat and salam to our prophet Muhammad SAW who has guide
us from the darkness to the brightness, so we are always in the right path.

Ladies and gentlemen

In this global era, we have to be selective in any way. We will find many kinds of people with
different characteristics and background. We will confront cultural acculturation, not only
from domestic culture but also foreign culture. So it is very important for us to embattle our
self from the negative impact from those situations.
One of the most dangerous one is drugs. I am sure all of you have already known about what
drug is and what the advantages and disadvantages are. Some people which use drugs
beyond the medical treatment consider that drugs can make them feel better when facing
some problems, make them feel easy to find new brilliant ideas or just for a pleasure. But
they never think twice for the next impact of the using drugs. They will get more negative
impact and none of positive impact.

Happy brothers and sisters whom I love

As moslems we have the guidance from the holy qur’an that drinking alcoholic drink is
forbidden, and it is bad action, and despicable deed, as Allah said in te holy qur’an:

َ‫صابُ َواأْل َ ْزاَل ُم ِرجْ سٌ ِم ْن َع َم ِل ال َّش ْيطَا ِن فَاجْ تَنِبُوهُ لَ َعلَّ ُك ْم تُ ْفلِحُون‬
َ ‫يَا أَيُّهَا الَّ ِذينَ آ َمنُوا إِنَّ َما ْال َخ ْم ُر َو ْال َم ْي ِس ُر َواأْل َ ْن‬
(Al-Maidah verse: 90)

Happy audience whom I love

From the statements above, we know that drugs are unless. So we must make our
environment free from drugs especially in our beloved Islamic school.

So what must we do?

 1. We must make our school environment warm and friendly
2. Give education to the student about the dangerous of misapplied drugs
3. Gain two way communication, open mind and honest, and listen and respect to our
children opinion
4. Strengthen religious live, it is not only about religious ritual but also strengthen the
moral value and apply it in our daily activities
5. Present many kinds of students activities to fulfill their free time
If we can do that we will make our Islamic school free from drugs. So let’s we together make
our school become healthier and of course there is no misapplied of drugs in our beloved
school.

From the statement that I have explained before, we can conclude that drugs or alcoholic
drink is so dangerous for our health, for our body, and also for our future. So we must keep
away from it. We must avoid it, don’t try to consume or buy it even just one time.
