TA module is for monitoring cell voltage, cell internal resistance and cell
temperature. TC module is for monitoring battery string charge and discharge current
and ambient temperature, and is connected to the control module through the UART
bus. The control module is connected to the server through the serial port or network
Figure 2-1-1
2.2 TA Module
TA module can monitor cell voltage, cell internal resistance and temperature, and
upload the data to the control module through the communication port. TA module
itself does not with an alarm judgment function. It should be noted that the 2V module
can only be used to monitor 2V batteries, and 6V and 12V module also the same,

CM module can read the monitoring values one by one from the TA and TC
modules, and perform analysis, processing and display. One CM module can monitor

2.4 TC Module
The TC module monitors charge and discharge current and ambient temperature
for one string. And it can communicate with the CM module through the UART port.
One string needs one TC Module. The ports description are shown below.

Each battery should be connected to one TA test cable on its poles. Put the red
cable on the positive pole of the battery (See (1)), and the black ones for the negative
Figure 3-2-1
It should be noted that the TA test cable must be installed outside the
sandwiched between the battery pole and the connection bar, starting from the
near battery end, in this order: battery pole → connection strip → battery
Figure 3-2-2

After all installation and commissioning work is completed, the tightness of each
battery pole screw must be checked and marked, the specific method is as follows:
After confirming that the bolts are tightened with a torque wrench, use a marker

ensure the firmness, it is recommended to use glass glue to reinforce it. Note that
when mounted on the front, it cannot be stuck on the safety valve (as shown in the

Insert the TA test cable plug to the TA module's J1 port, and connect one end of
the TA communication cable to the COM2 port of the module, and the other end to the
COM1 port of the next module after setting the address. The COM1 and 2 of TA
module functions are completely the same, no need to distinguish; at this time, the TA
module has been powered on and the green light should be always on.
Although the TA module consumes only a very small current, if the battery

The control module communicates with the TA and TC modules through COM1A,
communication cable and then connected to the TC module and then to the COM port
of the control module. Generally, one COM port of the control module is connected to
the TA and TC modules on a string batteries. Each COM port is provided with two four-
core interfaces, which are parallel inside. Connect the other free port to the COM2 port
of the last TA module. Forming a communication loop to ensure that any disconnection
on the communication cable can still communicate normally. In addition, a power cable
needs to be led from pins 3 and 4 of the COM1B port of the control module to the VIN
The control module needs to be externally powered and uses dual input. The
allowable range of the power input is 100V ~ 240VAC or 110V ~ 370VDC. The power
cable is standard when shipped. When monitoring the UPS battery string, the control
module is powered by the output AC power of the UPS, and it is not allowed to powered

After finishing IR test, the setting for the base IR values should be done as below.
After performing a resistance test, the values can be used as a standard resistance for
those specific batteries. See the steps below to set a standard resistance setting.

After performing a resistance test on the old batteries, work out the average value as a
standard resistance. See the steps below to set a standard resistance setting for old batteries.

Voltage and temperature can be checked with a high-precision voltage and temperature
meter. During checking, the highest 5 values and the lowest 5 values can be checked with the
meter to confirm whether the error is within the allowable range. It should be noted that the
since the internal resistance values measured by different testing methods are different,
and there is no uniform standard in the world at present, it is impossible to check the internal
resistance accuracy with some internal resistance meter. In the actual application process, the
internal resistance is judged by comparing the resistance values in different times to judge the
health state of the battery, so the repetition precision of the internal resistance is generally
confirmed. The method for confirming the repetition accuracy is as follows: measure the
internal resistance every 10 minutes or so for three times, average the three times, and divide
the maximum deviation from the average value by the average value to obtain the repetition
accuracy.
