Essay Task 2

The Importance Of Creativity In Early Childhood

Introduction

The most liberating type of self-expression is creativity. Nothing is more rewarding and fulfilling

for children than being able to freely express themselves without fear of being judged. Young

children's mental wellbeing can be reflected and nurtured by their desire to be imaginative, to

construct something from personal feelings and experiences (Yates & Twigg, 2017). The

experiences that children have during their first years of life can have a profound impact on their

creativity growth. Parents are trying to discover and invent new things like creative play,

Moreover, creativity in relation to young children are innate innovators of vivid imagination and

a unique way in which they can express themselves. Young children from a very early age can

challenge, query and explore (Gruber, & Boreen, 2003). They keep their minds and hearts opens,

Th

play with ideas and create relationships in search of new ideas. Young children are capable of

seeing problems from a different angle, seeing an issue that no one might think of and arriving at
sh

an unconventional but successful solution (Gruber, & Boreen, 2003). Each child is imaginative

and creative, but this can be limited if children have no room to do imaginative work and release

their creative energy (Gruber, & Boreen, 2003). They need creative experience, opportunities

and supplies. Kids have countless creative practices. The more diverse and diversified

interactions children get in their early years, the broader range of artistic expression they acquire

(Gruber, & Boreen, 2003). Creativity is the most liberating mode of self-expression. Nothing is

more gratifying and satisfying than free and non-prejudicial expressing children. The desire to

create something through personal experiences and sentiments can represent and maintain

children's emotional well-being (Caiman, 2017). During first years of life, young children's

experiences will greatly improve creative development (Caiman, 2017). Philosopher Erich

Fromm said "Creativity requires courage to release certainty," (Fuchs, 2020). Creativity is an

m

essential part of the human experience. When young children are creative, children face fears,

difficulties or obstacles and see new possibilities (Fuchs, 2020). Creativity is critical because it

o.
enables children to open new experiences. These interactions include strong creativity, feelings

and values, new baggage with personal interests, an inquisitive attitude, and being open to new

and unconventional challenges (Kaufman, 2009).

Creativity is important for the growth of young children depending on promoting imagination

through environments and materials. In preschool children can learn best in their environments,

and they must be able to run, touch, play with different materials, give voice to thoughts and

feelings, and explore those environments by manipulating various toys and objects (Brown,

Garnett, Anderson And Laurenceau, 2017). These interactions help to create strong and
is

meaningful links in their minds. "Artistic expression can be important for brain development,
Th

such as talking, writing, and reading," said Jeffrey Trewick-Smith of Eastern Connecticut State

University (Pratt, 2014). In the same vein, acting, walking or dancing is as valuable in brain
sh

development as performing arts that attract children. A research done by Pratt has shown that

physical activities in young children are related to the growth and development of the brain, as in

the physical curriculum. children are required to participate in creative and expressive practices

(Pratt, 2014). Children can connect and confront their feelings through imaginative experiences.

Creativity encourages child mentality through innovative ideas and new approaches to thought

and problem solving (Caiman, 2017). Creative practices contribute to recognizing and

celebrating children's individuality and diversity and provide excellent opportunities to

personalize our education and reflect on each child (Caiman, 2017).

teachers are very useful (Sciencedirect, 2010). One has to ensure children have a variety of

creative resources and experiences. It is more than drawing or painting to be artistic. Although

some studies have indicated that they try to be open to new ideas and to inspire children to find

more than one solution, the majority of research suggests parents are trying to discover and
vi y re

invent new things like creative play, dramatic play, innovative style of study that motivate

children to be imaginative and inventive (Sciencedirect, 2010). Kids should be given plenty of

time to explore their thoughts on materials and to pursue them. This means dreaming, designing,

building, experimenting and revising project ideas. One must not forget it is to be required to talk
is

about these ideas on time with other people – teachers and children (Sciencedirect, 2010). There
Th

is a need to find opportunities to provide children with multi-ethnic, multi-cultural and other

group experiences. Enhance innovative processes by encouraging children to visit schools, such
sh

as field trips, celebrations of holidays and events with other ethnic groups. The more diverse the

children's life experiences, the more artistic expression they can express (Sciencedirect, 2010).

The more individual children experience themselves, the more content they can become part of

playing in individuals and situations outside their world (Sciencedirect, 2010).

Parents are trying to discover and invent new things in all area like creative play, dramatic play,

innovative style of study, etc. that motivate children to be imaginative and inventive because the

desire to create something through personal experiences and sentiments can represent and

promotes physical development (Sciencedirect, 2017). The children improve their skills and

become more and more confident through play and repetition of basic physical abilities in their

physical activity. Playing promotes creative thinking and troubleshooting. Children have several

mental difficulties by block playing, relating to steps, equilibrium, equity, spatial, shape and

physical characteristics (Sciencedirect, 2017). The manner that stimulates social development is
is

one of the main benefits of play. Playful social experiences start at birth (Sciencedirect, 2017).

Dramatic play allows children to experiment with social roles and to understand them. It will

also provide you with endless chances as you play with others to acquire social skills

(Sciencedirect, 2017). Dramatic play is increasingly teaching children to take into account their

needs and to consider various values and prospects. By playing, children can show their

emotions and deal with them. Playing also contributes to alleviating child stress and pressure.

However, the importance of innovation in educational policies is debatable. On the one hand,

educators and policies have emphasized the importance of education in the development of

creativity. Creative education helps to establish the unique viewpoint of each child.

Conclusion

One must be careful to play, schedule, and promote it. Learn how to extend play by commenting

and asking questions for youngsters. Encourage innovative thinking by allowing children to
